After two years of development, 6 months of producing and countless hours dreaming, production has begun! Tonight marks the end of day 1 of 7. I'm incredibly thankful to be working along side an amazing cast and crew. To see the characters come to life and live in the space is almost surreal. What used to be merely an idea, a "this would be fun to do one day" thought has now become a reality. 

Arriving at the house bright and early, we went to work; unloading the grip truck, getting crafty set up (SUPER important) and blocking camera and actor movement. Even with a smaller crew we moved quickly and efficiently (for the most part) but made sure that we captured what was needed and put effort into making the production value as high as it can be. 

I'm extremely happy with what we got today and it looks AMAZING! I'm so excited to share this piece once it's complete. I'll try not to get over excited but today has made me feel very good about the direction that the film is taking. Stay tuned for more updates and photos! 

We're roughly ONE WEEK away from production! This has been a two yearlong journey bringing this story to life and I am so incredibly excited to be working alongside an INCREDIBLE cast and crew. The amount of support we have received has blown me away and I am forever grateful. Through this whole process I have learned so much about all aspects of production, but especially producing. I have a much greater respect for producers now than I ever did before. The job is tiring, at times overwhelming, but incredibly rewarding. 

As we prep for production, things finally begin to take form. The characters live and breathe at the table reads. Seeing the characters I created take form and live in the space is incredibly exciting. Tomorrow we meet for our final table read before production begins. Everyone involved is fully invested in the film and the story and it will be exciting to continue to explore the world of Unhinged with the actors. The've already done an amazing job and I can't wait to fully bring it all together.
